Emerge Broward's ambassador PRogram

Emerge Broward (EB), a program of Leadership Broward Foundation, Inc., is a young professionals program for emerging Broward County leaders ages 21-35. EB promotes leadership and personal development through networking, community involvement, and educational opportunities. Founded in 2007, EB’s mission is “to identify the emerging leaders and young professionals of Broward County, connect them with each other and current leaders in the community, develop their ability to serve as community trustees, and engage them within the community.” Beginning with only 60 memberships, the organization has a database of over 2,000 and has grown to over 550 active members within only five years.

The program was developed to meet the unique needs of young professionals in the community. In most cases, young professionals are new to the community in which they live, as well as to their jobs, and are looking for ways to meet new people and become involved in the community. Many young professionals want to improve their leadership abilities and aspire to leadership roles in the near future. The Emerge Broward mission is based on the questions most frequently asked by young professionals, such as: What makes someone a good leader? How do I become a community leader? What do I need to know to serve as an effective board member? Emerge Broward helps answer these questions by providing a variety of activities to connect members with other like-minded professionals in Broward County, develop their leadership abilities, and engage them in meaningful volunteer opportunities in the community.

While the organization has grown by leaps and bounds, research shows that there are 350,000 young professionals within Broward County and there is still an untapped market of individuals who could be developed as better leaders and engaged more within our community. Emerge Broward offers companies with five or more young professionals an opportunity to learn more about the organization through our Ambassador Program. The Ambassador Program is a system of community outreach to inform local businesses and organizations about Emerge Broward. Emerge Broward will come to your workplace and make a 15-20 minute presentation to your young professionals for FREE!

Emerge Broward is a hallmark program of the foundation and has set a standard of excellence in both the caliber of its more than 550 active members and in quality of programming and services provided to each member. Throughout the community, Emerge Broward has earned and continues to live up to an exceptional reputation. Emerge Broward has been well received by the public and the media due to the rapid growth in membership, originality of programming and visibility in the community.
