Is the Foundation a nonprofit organization?
Yes. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designated by the Internal Revenue Code.
How can I make a donation?
Donations are gladly accepted by mail, by telephone and online. For more information, see the Ways To Give section of our Web site.
Can I make a donation in honor or in memory of someone?
Absolutely. For more information, see the Ways To Give section of our Web site.
What is a corporate matching gift and how can I make one?
Many large corporations have matching gift programs and will match your donation to a charitable organization. It's an easy way to double or even triple your personal contributions to the Leadership Broward Foundation. You should talk to your human resources representative to find out if your company has such a program and how you can participate. Can I come to a program or fundraiser?
When a program or fundraiser is open to the general public, we make every effort possible to alert LBF alumni, community partners, and other supporters who might be interested in attending. Because the purpose of our programs and/or special events is to help fund our programmatic efforts, however, we are not able to offer free admission or to otherwise subsidize attendance. What types of programs does Leadership Broward Foundation offer?
Leadership Broward Foundation offers the following programs:
• Leadership Broward (LB) (adults 25 and over)
• Youth Leadership Broward (YLB) (Juniors in public or private high schools)
• Senior Executive Orientation (SEO) (c-level executives)
• Emerge Broward (young adults 21-35 years old)
• Encore! Leadership Broward (adults 55 and over)
• Follow the Leader in You (FLY) (middle school, at-risk youths)
• Community-based leadership trainings (community activists)

What is the current LB Class? How much does it cost?
The current class for the adults program is LB Class XXXI. Click here for more information, or to apply to this program.
What is the timeline for the Adults LB program application process?
Applications for the Adult Leadership Broward program become available in January and are due in the LBF office by the end of May. The specific deadline date is on the application itself. The selection is made in June, and notices to applicants go out by the end of June. The Orientation for the new class takes place in August and the two-day Opening Retreat is scheduled in September, followed by monthly program days. The Initiation into LBF takes place in June.
What is the current YLB Class? How much does it cost?

What is the timeline for the Youth LB program application process?
Applications to the Youth Leadership Broward (YLB) program are sent to the Broward County schools (public and private) in January. Students (sophomores) can request applications from the Guidance Department. Some schools select the candidates they will approve to go through the YLB program. All applications must be signed by the Principal of the school in order to be reviewed. The school will forward the selected applications to the Leadership Broward Foundation office by mid-March. The specific date is on the application. Students and their school will be informed of their acceptance status by early May. An Orientation for students and parents will be scheduled before the end of May and the mandatory two-day Opening Retreat will take place in August. The program year will end mid-April.
How much is the tuition for each program?
• Tuition for the Adult LB program is $2,500. A $100 application fee applies.
• Tuition for the YLB (youth) program is $550. Click here to see if scholarships are available.
• Tuition for the SEO program is $750. A $100 application fee applies.
• Tuition for the Encore! program is $250. A $25 application fee applies.
• Membership in the Emerge Broward program is $25.
• The Follow the Leader in You program is fully grant funded and is offered at no cost.
• Community-based programs costs vary.
