Youth Leadership Summit A Three Day Summit for High School Sophomores and Juniors.

The annual Youth Leadership Summit is designed to educate young leaders (high school sophomores and juniors) about the current issues facing Broward County and empower youth to positively influence the direction of Broward County's future.

The Summit, which takes place over the course of 2 1/2 days during the fall semester, focuses on themes of life in Broward County through a mix of presentations and interactive activities. These themes include:

• Life in Broward County
• Living Leadership
• Educating our Community
• Building Community
• Caring for our Community
• Economic Vision
• The Light from Within
• Setting the Direction

By the end of the Summit, participants create a realistic plan for improving some aspects of life in the community related to one or more of these themes, and will grasp a more comprehensive understanding of the power you hold to positively serve your community!

The Sixth Annual Youth Leadership Summit took place in November 2011.  Check back in the Fall 2012 when we will start accepting applications for the Seventh Annual Summit.
