The Leadership Broward Program is a premier leadership development experience designed for professionals who are actively engaged in their organizations and committed to making a difference in Broward County.
Leadership Broward Program
Leadership Broward is a 9-month immersive leadership experience that brings together accomplished professionals from the business, government, and nonprofit sectors.
The program begins with a two-day opening retreat in September, followed by monthly full-day sessions that provide participants with an in-depth look at the challenges, opportunities, and resources that shape Broward County.
Through interactive discussions, site visits, and conversations with community leaders, participants gain a deeper understanding of the forces shaping our region and how they can play a role in its future.
What Participants Gain

Participants will:
• Develop a deeper understanding of Broward County’s key issues and institutions
• Discover their leadership style and strengthen self-awareness

Each class collaborates on a community impact project that addresses real needs in Broward County.
The program culminates with a graduation ceremony, where participants present their projects and are awarded the Leadership Broward Achievement Pin, symbolizing their commitment to leadership and community engagement.
A Powerful Leadership Network
Leadership Broward graduates become part of an influential network of more than 1,600 alumni who serve in leadership roles throughout Broward County.
Leadership Broward alumni collectively serve on virtually every major nonprofit and professional board in the region, strengthening organizations and advancing initiatives that benefit our entire community.
After completing the program, graduates are encouraged to remain active through the Leadership Broward Foundation, which provides ongoing opportunities for engagement through:
• Educational forums
• Community initiatives
• Leadership discussions
• Social and networking events
This lifelong network continues to connect leaders who share a passion for improving Broward County.
Who Should Apply
The Leadership Broward program accepts applicants from the business, government, and nonprofit sectors who demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to community involvement.
Each class includes approximately 60 leaders representing the diverse industries, cultures, and perspectives that make Broward County unique.
