TESTIMONIALS

  • Leadership Broward not only showed me a unique ‘behind the scenes’ look at our community but also introduced me to the various non-profits that give back to those in need. I’m more involved now than ever….and I love it!”

SOCIALLY GOOD

Each month SociallyGood features a nonprofit partner that receives the proceeds from that month’s SociallyGood guest fees. This event is open to the general public.
Leadership Broward Foundation cares about our community and we are continually seeking ways to be a stronger agent for change. Our mission is to develop and inspire individuals to serve our community. Please join us monthly, as we network with our supporters and friends and introduce them to some of the amazing work that is being performed by local non profits in our community today.
Our Nonprofit Partner this month is:

Broward UP™
Broward College considers itself a community partner and is always looking for new ways to improve the lives of residents and contribute to the economic development of the county. To improve College accessibility and postsecondary education attainment across the county, the College launched Broward UP, which stands for ‘unlimited potential.’ While Broward County’s unemployment rate is approximately 3.3 percent, it soars to more than 10 percent in some cities, with some zip codes reaching unemployment levels nearing 13 percent. To address this disparity and remove barriers, through Broward UP the College partners with other nonprofit organizations, businesses and places of worship to leverage resources that allow residents in these identified cities to access programs and services. Broward UP has adopted three goals: increase college access and attendance, improve degree and certificate attainment, and holistically raise social and economic mobility.
