SociallyGood is a community networking event presented by Leadership Broward Foundation and it’s open to everyone! Each month SociallyGood will feature a nonprofit partner who will receive 100% of the proceeds from all SociallyGood guest fees collected from that evening.
This month we present Broward Public Library Foundation as our partner nonprofit. One drink will be included with the price of admission. All proceeds collected that evening go back to Broward Public Library Foundation.
Leadership Broward Foundation cares about our community and we are continually seeking ways to be a stronger agent for change. Our mission is to develop and inspire individuals to serve our community.
Please join us monthly, as we network with our supporters and friends and introduce them to some of the amazing work that is being performed by local nonprofits in our community today.
Our Nonprofit Partner this month is:
Founded in 1982, the Broward Public Library Foundation serves as the fundraising arm for the Broward County Library system, which has the distinction of being one of the 10 largest public library systems in the United States and the largest in the state of Florida. Each year, more than nine million walk-in customers visit the system’s 39 locations and countless others access a wealth of free resources using digital e-technology.
An active board of directors oversees our 501(c)3 charitable Foundation, providing input on fundraising initiatives, grantmaking, endowment investment, membership expansion and program funding. Through the generosity of its donors, the Broward Public Library Foundation is able to underwrite numerous programs and events that compliment those already funded by Broward County tax dollars, such as ACT/SAT prep classes for high school students, computer training classes for adults, a summer reading program for both children and adults and the annual Books ‘n’ Bears at the Holidays program for disadvantaged preschool children.
