Leadership Broward Foundation, Inc.

Leadership Broward (LB) is the signature leadership development program from which Leadership Broward Foundation, Inc. was founded in 1994.  Each year, up to 60 of Broward County’s most promising leaders are accepted into the LB Program. They participate in an intensive 10-month program to study key challenges facing Broward County.

The LB program year is leadership development at its best for high-potential people in Broward County companies, government, and nonprofit organizations. It offers an unparalleled opportunity for in-depth learning about complex urban issues, and the partnerships and analytical skills needed to address them.  Class participants make lifelong connections with diverse leaders — connections that help them advance professionally and in civic affairs. Youth Leadership Broward (YLB) is designed for high school juniors.  YLB offers participants the opportunity to learn more about our community while developing their leadership skills. Participants also take part in meaningful community service projects with organizations such as YMCA and Boys and Girls Clubs. More

The four-day Senior Executive Orientation (SEO) program, offered in February and March, provides a high-level comprehensive profile of Broward County to senior level executives. Participants benefit from the insights and perspectives of highly participative roundtable discussions, intense Q&A sessions and through interaction with community policy makers. Only 30 applicants are selected each year. More

Emerge Broward (EB) is a young professionals program for leaders ages 21-35. EB promotes leadership and personal development through networking, community involvement and educational opportunities. Activities and events take place multiple times per month and include:

• Done-in-a-day community service projects
• And much more!

Encore! Leadership Broward is for people 55 and older who are retired, semi-retired or about to retire, ready to share their wisdom and talent with like-minded individuals who want to get involved, learn about resources, feel useful and give back to the community. Encore! Leadership Broward is a dynamic learning experience where participants learn about issues and needs of the community and meet inspiring community leaders. The program also offers new opportunities for collaborative and individual community service. More

The purpose of the Follow the Leader in You (FLY) program is to reach potential youth leaders from non-traditional backgrounds and encourage them to find and to follow their leader within. The FLY curriculum is delivered in seven one-hour sessions to middle school youth. The goal of FLY is to change the way these youth see leaders by creating experiences that allow them to create a new definition of leadership. More
